I have been building products in startups since 2012. I write the code, design the UI and UX myself, and take it all the way through SEO, MEO and GEO so that people actually find it. I have founded or co-founded four companies to date, and am now based in Fukuoka, Japan.
At Wishpoke, the company I founded in Redwood City, California, our app was featured by the App Store in Ireland and the UK and picked up by Google Play collections in 70 countries; we presented at WebSummit 2018 in Lisbon and Slush 2018 in Helsinki. As CCO of the Korean office at Donuts I launched Udition, an audition app connecting actors and artists with entertainment agencies. At CROWDY, also as CCO, I helped launch a crowdfunding (fintech) service.
So for more than ten years I have spent as much time on getting found as on building the thing itself. Now that search has moved to AI, miruai is that same problem, carried over.
With miruai I measure whether a brand actually appears in answers from ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude and Perplexity — across five languages: Japanese, English, Korean, Mandarin and Cantonese — then work out why it does not and what to change.
Two more from the same company. MenuMenu connects inbound travellers with local Japanese businesses, built on MEO and SEO: it helps restaurants and small businesses get found by visitors in the first place, then carries them through to the order with multilingual digital menus.
techandchips is factory automation for manufacturers in the Kumamoto semiconductor cluster. The premise: do not stop the line, do not replace the equipment — you can still start automating. Equipment and system integration (EAP/MES), visibility for legacy machines, traceability and AI document automation, starting from a free consultation and a single-machine pilot.
